I am enthusiastic about the down-to-earth nature and inventiveness of the people in Saxony, as well as the diversity of the scientific landscape in the Free State. The close collaboration between science and industry enables highly innovative technological developments, which I often experience in my work at Fraunhofer FEP. With scientific excellence, sometimes a touch of pragmatism, as well as foresight and perseverance, interdisciplinary projects for innovative solutions are realized. In the institute's marketing department, I collaborate with friendly and very open-minded people from various regions and nations. It's exciting and I greatly enjoy being able to communicate the results of science to the outside world. As a native Saxon, I am happy to have found my personal center of life here again. Not least, the opportunities offered by the scientific landscape have played a role in my education and professional environment.
