Together with my German-South African family, I have chosen Saxony as our new home – and Mittweida University as my workplace. The university's openness and internationality have convinced us. The sense of belonging and the energy among my new colleagues confirm that the decision is right. It brings me great joy to work with them to drive internationalization forward with many innovations. Particularly appealing to me: HSMW is one of the few Universities of Applied Sciences in Germany and the only one in Saxony that is part of a European university alliance. In the European University on Responsible Consumption and Production (EURECA-PRO), I can actively contribute to both realizing the idea of a European university with nine partner universities and supporting an important sustainability goal.
