Dresden, a city you might already know from history books, still showcases its beautiful past but today thrives with vibrancy and growth. It's a city that doesn't boast any singular standout feature but can pride itself on being quite proficient in everything, in a delightful harmony. It's large enough to offer every imaginable hobby without overwhelming you with its size. In the two years I've lived here, I've never felt the need to own a car. Most places are reachable within 20 minutes or less by bike or public transportation. And when it comes to science, Dresden certainly doesn't fall short. The city is teeming with high-quality instruments and facilities, easily accessible to all. Researchers here are readily open to collaboration and assistance. I find Dresden to be a wonderful place not only for academic advancement but also for enjoying my leisure time.
