Saxony, and Dresden in particular, offer an ideal scientific environment for my research in biophysics. At the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems, we work closely with biologists and physicists from other research institutions in Dresden, such as the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics. Furthermore, the Centre for Systems Biology and the Cluster of Excellence "Physics of Life" at TU Dresden offer unique platforms that enable lively interdisciplinary exchange at the interface of biology and physics, which can only be found at a few institutions worldwide. Saxony is thus creating space for ground-breaking discoveries and valuable insights. I am very grateful to be part of this network and look forward to further exciting projects.
