Before I came to the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden in 2022, I didn't have many points of contact with the scientific state of Saxony. Once I arrived, I was amazed at how large and lively the network between TU Dresden and the many research institutes is and how actively exchange is promoted. In the field of physical chemistry, where I am based, there are many excellent working groups that are open to collaboration. Interdisciplinary exchange is also actively promoted. In addition, Dresden and the beautiful Elbe Valley offer great opportunities to relax in nature at the weekend.
