A significant part of my professional life is connected to the Saxon universities and research institutions. Currently, I lead the department 'Nano-microsystems for Biosciences' at the HZDR - Institute for Radiopharmaceutical Cancer Research. Together with my team and in collaboration with the Dresden University of Technology, I am involved in the development of intelligent, miniaturized biosensors and systems aiming to better understand cancer diseases. I am certain that tomorrow's healthcare will dramatically change due to technological advancements and the digital revolution. The Free State of Saxony is among the first in Germany to have recognized this early and actively started building the necessary scientific infrastructure. This is one of the reasons why I enjoy conducting research here and wish to continue contributing to the scientific landscape in Saxony!
