As a non-European who has lived in different countries, I experience Saxony as a welcoming country for foreign researchers. The university and the city administration offer practical help that facilitates integration and promotes a sense of community. The Johannstadt Campus offers an environment that is rich in diversity and collaboration. The interdisciplinary environment provides insights into different perspectives and the powerful computing resources are helpful for my research. There are challenges, but the opportunities to interact with interesting scholars from different disciplines make the experience in Saxony rewarding and intellectually stimulating. Saxony combines personal and professional aspects, offering a unique blend and enriching my personal and academic life.
