What excites me personally about Saxony as a science state is both the stimulating and intellectually challenging working environment it offers. As a part of the Transformative Capacities research area at the IOER, I get to be a part of the community working at the intersection of sustainability science and transformations research. The transdisciplinary nature of collaborations at the IOER also encourages very diverse and fresh perspectives, making it a dynamic, enriching and never a boring experience. However, most importantly for me, it is about having great and supportive colleagues who help to create an institute where scientific exploration and personal growth go hand in hand.
