In 2015, I moved to Dresden to pursue a research career at Leibniz-Institut für ökologische Raumentwicklung, drawn by its renowned expertise in spatial and ecological planning, along with the support of welcoming colleagues and inspiring mentors that only encouraged further the desire to stay. On a personal note, the vibrant mix of nature, historical charm and culture, coupled with the resilient international community, makes Dresden not just a hub for innovative endeavors but also a delightful place to call home.
