My Position/Profession/Field of Study
PhD Student
I studied Sustainability Management at the University of Leipzig, previously worked as a research assistant at the UFZ, and have been pursuing my Ph.D. at UFZ since 2021. Here, I develop models aimed at assisting the agricultural sector in adapting to climate change and extreme events such as droughts, while also better managing scarce water resources. Irrigation management in agriculture is a highly pertinent topic and will continue to gain importance, especially here in Saxony. My modeling approach takes into account both biophysical and socio-economic factors and their interactions. For this purpose, at UFZ, with its interdisciplinary orientation, thematic breadth, and networking with universities and other research institutions, I have the best possible conditions. I see my involvement in the interdisciplinary graduate program at UFZ as an opportunity to promote social science-oriented water research.
