I have been working as a professor at the Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden at TU Dresden (CRTD) since mid-2021 and have found the ideal environment for my research on spinal cord regeneration in zebrafish. The science at the site is highly interdisciplinary, combining biology, physics, computer science and medicine to create a dynamic research environment. The CRTD is equipped with state-of-the-art technology platforms and is within walking distance of the University Hospital, the Max Planck Institute and the DFG Cluster of Excellence Physics of Life. Many joint seminars and conferences in an interactive and collegial atmosphere promote synergistic collaborations between us researchers. This excellent environment also attracts the best students and postgraduates from Germany and abroad, who make our research possible in the first place.
