Junior Professor for Climate Causality
The scientific state of Saxony is a great place to conduct innovative research into weather and climate extremes. At the Leipzig Institute of Meteorology at Leipzig University, we combine a wide variety of methods and scales to better understand our global weather in the wake of climate change and provide reliable climate information. We work closely with colleagues from the Institute of Earth System Science and Remote Sensing, the Faculty of Economics, TROPOS, the UFZ, ScaDSAI and iDiv to understand different aspects of climate change, including the impacts and interactions with humans and biodiversity. The topicality and societal relevance of these issues are immense and it is great to be part of this research network.
