I am an engineer through and through, and after several years in the Bavarian "foreign lands," I am now a university lecturer and researcher in Saxony – the perfect place for these matters of the heart. Here, in the automotive industry, ingenuity and future technologies thrive. Saxony, a land of science, to me, means a very good, very close connection between university and industry. At "my" Mittweida University, I experience how fruitful collaboration can be on a daily basis – not only in research but also in teaching: From collaborating on the future of mobility with IAV, one of the leading high-technology service providers in the automotive industry, we have developed our own master's program on networked systems in Mittweida. Here, I equip engineers with the skills they need to shape the dynamic developments in the automotive sector.
